The Family of Napoleon Bonaparte Cook and Sophronia Pauline Porter Cook of Bienville Parish

The Cook family prior to January 1906. Click to see a larger version.

Here is another photo from the collection of Marguerite Cook Clark. This is a fabulous family find for those researching this family who lived in both Bienville Parish, Louisiana and Jasper County, Mississippi. Napoleon Bonaparte Cook died on January 16, 1906, so this photo would have to have been taken on that day or prior.

Most of what I know about this family was told to me by Marguerite Cook Clark's daughter and what I have read in newspaper clippings, and on Ancestry.com.

I have other copies of photos and clippings from Marguerite Cook Clark's collection related to this family. I have written twelve simple posts to share these items beginning with this one. These posts will contain very little research, but many photos and newspaper clippings that may not be easily found when researching these families.

I have numbered the photo above and enlarged and identified faces by the numbers and names below. I have added married names for the women/girls as that is the way I found it on the back of the photo. However, all of the girls were not married at the time the photo was taken.

I am sorry to say that I made a very poor scan of the back of the photo and some names were cut off. You can see the scan at the bottom of this post.
