My Families

BRYAN
I am a descendant of Reddick BRYAN, born in 1793, who lived in Martin County, North Carolina.  He married Elizabeth S. REGAN, born 1798, of Robeson County, North Carolina. They lived in central Georgia (Houston, Twiggs, and Pulaski Counties) and in 1838, left Georgia for NW Louisiana where they settled in present day Bienville Parrish. Extended families in Louisiana included ALBRITTON, HAMMETT, WATTS, PITMAN, and WIMBERLY.  My great-great grandparents, Terrell BRYAN and Harriet ALBRITTON, left Louisiana for Texas where they settled in Erath County, Texas.  Additional family names include BIGGS, KEITH, WYLIE, LATTA, and HAIRSTON.

HAIRSTON
Phillip A. HAIRSTON, son of John L. and Eliza HAIRSTON and my great-grandfather, was born on May 17, 1852 in Hinds County, MS. He relocated with his family to Falls County, Texas sometime after the Civil War where he married Lodema Walker CRISWELL.  Lodema, born in Cherokee County, TX, was the daughter of William Moore CRISWELL and Mary Ann "Polly" EVANS.  Phillip and Lodema moved from Falls to Erath County and later to Baylor County where they are buried. Other family names include CHISUM, GILBERT, NOAH, THOMPSON, and GRESHAM.

DAVIS
I know very little about my DAVIS family from Edmonson County, Kentucky.  Claude DAVIS, my grandfather, was the son of Bertha DAVIS. She was the daughter of Olive Caroline DAVIS and granddaughter of Seth H. DAVIS and Margaret “Peggy JONES.” Bertha had a sister, Dora, who married a Tom PAGE and had several children.

GIDDENS
My Grandmother, Edith GIDDENS DAVIS, was the daughter of Mary Lucy GLYNN of Vermont and Charles Allen GIDDENS of North Carolina.

QUINN and MURRAY
I have much information about my husband’s Irish Quinn and Murray families on my web pages. Extended families names include LINANE, BRANNELLY, FAHY, DAWSON, MEANEY, HOULIHAN, STANTON, MEEHAN, KINGSLEY, MCGING, MOYLAN, and ROARKE

DRISCOLL and STAUBACH
My husband’s maternal grandparents were Charles STAUBACH whose family was from Germany and Helen DRISCOLL from Cohoes, NY.  Family names include MCTIGHE, GOLDEN, CACCAVO, and HANNON
